Issue 43 will generate $4.3 million dollars a year for a period of 10 years and help bring back and reinstate some of the reductions and cuts that have been implemented over the past few years.

“The most important benefit will be reflected in the restoration of class offerings and class sizes that provide our students with the direct attention necessary to continue to achieve excellence,” Brown explained.

Additional plans include:

·         Reduce class sizes in K-12 and increase the number of high school course offerings

·         Implement a plan to purchase technology, textbooks, instructional resources

·         Reduce pay-to-participate fees ($100 MS - $200 HS - $250 Household Max) from the current fees ($300 MS - $600 HS - $900 Household Max)

·         Reinstate some secretarial and nursing positions / hours

“The community should know that we will continue to evaluate spending in the district and strive to improve the districts efficiency whenever possible,” stated Brown. “It is a great day for North Ridgeville and North Ridgeville City Schools,” Brown added.
