Spotlight On Liberty Elementary Project-Based & Collaborative Learning

The concept of “learning by doing” in education goes back as early as the 1900’s. Common in today’s classroom environment, project-based and collaborative learning models classroom activity with emphasis on student –centered projects. Project Based Learning allows students to view a teacher as a co-learner and a coach as they use teaching styles to instruct and facilitate a lesson.

In the 3rd Grade Team Teaching Classrooms of Liberty Elementary teachers apply lessons in Math, Science, Spelling and Social Studies using project-based and collaborative learning in a variety of methods.
